I offer:

Prenatal Yoga

In my Prenatal Yoga classes you have the option to be in your pregnant body in a way that is strong AND easeful. You’re invited to practice aware breathing and learn about your posture. In the group classes there is time to build community. I also offer seeds of ways you can prepare for life as a new parent. I am a certified Pre and Postnatal Yoga teacher. My certification was completed with 8 Limbs Yoga in Seattle, WA and I have learned so much from my teacher, Christine Hills, who guided my pregnant body at Source Yoga in Tacoma, WA.

Prenatal Massage

As a LMP, I use gentle palpation to address the discomforts that can arise in pregnancy and tune in to the individual needs of the parent to provide appropriate bodywork. You are invited to lie on your side for optimal body comfort. You’re supported with pillows and blankets to make you feel aligned & at ease. To offer massage to the pregnant population I trained with Claire Miller and completed her Nurturing the Mother massage training.

Innate Postpartum Care: Planning for the

4th Trimester

Almost every other culture outside of the USA has a word and tradition of cocooning the new mother. I invite you to be a part of the change in our culture; let’s create the care women deserve. It’s your birthright to be revered as a new parent. After you have birthed your baby is *not* the ideal time to plan your postpartum recovery. You will be in the midst of becoming a whole new person and experiencing the precious newborn baby your body has created. Yet, planning for what is called, "the 4th trimester" or your immediate postpartum period is crucial. It is not a luxury. Dr. Lia Andrew, Dr of Chinese Medicine writes,

"The 2nd Golden Opportunity for a woman to shift the state of her health (for better or for worse) is the month following childbirth…Today’s society holds an unrealistic ideal that women should give birth, shed their weight gain immediately, and resume normal life, all on a hurried diet and limited sleep. Because of this unattainable standard many modern mothers never fully recover from having children.  Instead, they suffer from lack of libido, weight gain and hormonal imbalance for the rest of their lives.”

This course is an education on how to traditionally take care of mothers/birthing persons during their postpartum period. We will dive into the 5 essentials of postpartum recovery that will safeguard a woman's health for life- emotionally, physically, & spiritually. You will learn how to make a plan for your unique family system. This course will also be a container for holding you as you transition into motherhood or into the mother of multiple children. This course is for anyone thinking about having a child or anyone who is currently pregnant. This course if intended for you to take with your main support person - ie. partner, spouse, family member or friend. Let's change the ways mother's begin their new lives, and therefore change the outlook of our children's futures.
